Around The World With Keith and Teresa
Keith and Teresa have travelled to many countries around the world, gaining amazing experiences and meeting wonderful people. Below are some of their favourite memories:
In India, we visited the majestic Taj Mahal in Agra, wandered Varanasi (one of the oldest living cities in the world), and had an enchanting experience in Rajasthan on camel back, camping out under the stars. In Bangkok, Thailand, we traversed long tail boat canals that formed an impervious maze of sights and sounds. In Cambodia, we navigated the ancient temple of Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, and interacted with the colourful authentic hill tribes of Sapa, Vietnam.
We were captivated by the spectacular coastline of Cinque Terre, Italy, with its 5 brightly coloured cliffside villages. In Cape St. Vincent, Portugal, we watched fishermen with long poles and lines hang from the breathtakingly gigantic cliff ledges high above the turbulent Atlantic and fish.
An amazing self-drive 4x4 wildlife safari in Namibia and Botswana was our introduction to Africa. We also enjoyed wandering the endless labyrinths of souks (bazaars) and alleyways in the Medina in Fez, Morocco.
In Central America
We marvelled at the ruins of the Mayan nation in Guatemala, and swam into the cave of the Mayan archaeological site (Actun Tunichil Muknal) in Belize. We listened to the pounding of the surf while golfing in Dominican Republic, on an amazing course that hugged the coastline of the Caribbean Sea.
Here At Home
Our favourite adventure in BC was challenging the remote wilderness by hiking on the 35 km Nootka Trail, located on Nootka Island off the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
